AI provider keys
AI Assist runs on your provider keys, not a shared service. You stay in control of the model, the cost and the data boundary.
Add a key
Section titled “Add a key”In the Admin area, add a provider and paste its API key. The key is encrypted at rest and only used by the AI features you enable.
What it powers
Section titled “What it powers”- Summarizing records and threads.
- Drafting replies, resolution notes and knowledge.
- Deflecting requests with suggested knowledge.
Governance
Section titled “Governance”Because keys and features sit under the security model, you decide which roles can invoke AI and on which records. Drafts are always reviewed by a person before they’re sent or saved — see AI governance.
Rotating keys
Section titled “Rotating keys”Rotate or revoke a key at any time; AI features fall back gracefully when no valid key is present, so nothing breaks — the assistance simply pauses until a key is restored.
